Atomic Nexus 120 Boa 26/27

“Easy entry” ski boots, which are much easier to put on than standard boots, have been around for a few years now. Until now, though, that design has meant a slight compromise on performance. The all-mountain Atomic Nexus 120 Boa skis like a regular boot, yet you can kick your foot into it without needing your hands to help. That makes it a welcome option if aches, injuries or limited mobility would otherwise keep you off the slopes.

This boot uses a Boa dial lacing system. Set it to your preferred tension before closing the easy entry mechanism, and the boot closes snugly every time. There’s no need to adjust the Boa once the boot is on, although it can be done just as easily.

The opening mechanism works much like the walk mode on a freeride boot, with a clear lever to operate it.

The boots also come with “size adjuster” plates. Place them under the footbeds for a snugger fit.
